Jaysun & Louisa's Wedding

After 47 bazillion years of dating, Jaysun (Chris's high school buddy) and Louisa (his sweet and lovely fiancee) finally got married at University Methodist Church on the UT campus (during which David announced -- fairly loudly -- that "his belly was full, but he's not going to throw up"). Their reception at The French Legation in Austin could not have been more beautiful...the weather was stellar, the bride was gorgeous, and we spent a bit of time with some old friends. It was a good day for flowers and cake.
You can (temporarily) take the dirt off the boy, but you just can't ever take the boy out of the dirt

And to think that this was before the wedding...

Can't recall if this was a blessing, a word of advice, or if he was making fun of Jaysun. There was quite a bit of that during the sermon
Paul loved that the color scheme was "burnt orange". Hook 'em Horns!

It took them almost seven years to get here, and it looks like it was worth the wait
Kissing the bride
Mr. and Mrs. Roux. Did you ever think you'd see it happen?!
Walking back across campus, we passed through some kind of festival. David spotted some bake sale cupcakes. Of course
Slightly more rumpled, David dawdles with Grandma
Looks like Grandma gt stuck with Stick Duty
I don't even know what was happening here, except that he was not hurrying up
This was the best gluten-free, non-dairy, sugar-free honey-sweetened cake we have ever eaten
Seriously, the sooner you finish up with pictures, the sooner we can eat the cake
Louisa points to where the cake is
Such a happy couple. I wonder if there's any cake in this romantic moment
As yummy as it was beautiful
We could not have asked for a more beautiful day for a more beautiful couple
Out on the porch at the French Ligation
David made a friend in Zach, one of the other small people who mostly behaved. Thankfully, after some prompting, David offered to share the use of the trucks
Jaysun's brother Kevin gives a toast
Everyone behaved during the cutting of the cake
Jaysun really did seriously like the plate after he ate his cake
More photos on the porch. At least this was after the cake. Thank goodness
It's nice to be able to sneak in and steal the official photographer's moments
Giving Dr. Dietz the lowdown on the car

They've apparently been spending too much time with their grandson

At least one of us was looking at the camera
Yeeeah, Hook 'em Horns, yo!
